Este proyecto se desarrolló con la colaboración de la restauradora María Luisa Catellanos quien restauró la fachada usando métodos antiguos. En el interior un patio de grava, que recuerda las viejas casas de campo, dio el aire necesario para separar las dos épocas. A partir de este espacio se estableció un diálogo entre lo nuevo y lo viejo, realizando tres departamentos totalmente finiseculares, con el fin de establecer el umbral del tiempo y conjugar pasado y presente. La ligereza en la arquitectura, lograda a través de un diseño de líneas simples, permitió crear contraste y diálogo con la casa de época. El juego de volúmenes fue apoyado por materiales de diversas texturas que se exponen en sus colores naturales.
This project was developed with the collaboration of Maria Luisa Catellanos who restored the façade using old methods. Renovating urban spaces allows taking advantage of the existing facilities and gives the old parts of the city a sense of purpose by bringing them back into use again. In the interior, a gravel stone patio reminds us of old country houses, and creates an atmosphere that separates the two periods. This space opens a dialogue between the new and old. Three turn-of-the-century apartments were built, sitting in the threshold of time, where the past and the present meet. The lightness of the architecture was achieved with a design of simple lines that contrast and create a dialogue with this historical house. The volumes were highlighted by the use of materials of different textures to display their natural colors.
